Anzhelika Artyukh
FILM CRITIC, RUSSIA
St. Petersburg-based Anzhelika Artyukh has been published in several Russian and International professional film magazines, like Iskusstvo Kino, Film Comment, Seans, Kinovedcheskie Zapiski as well as web-sites www.arterritory.com. Artyukh has worked as a professor at St. Petersburg Institute of Cinema and Television. In 2002 she received the Award in memory Michail Levitin, given by the Russian Guild of Film Critics, and in 2014 got the Honorary Diploma as the best film critic of the year by the same professional Guild. She is a member of FIPRESCI and FEDEORA participated in many international festivals juries, including Berlinale, Rotterdam IFF, Moscow IFF, Oslo IFF, Vienna IFF, Oberhausen, etc. In 2015 and 2021 she was the curator of film program by women directors “The Time of Women” at the Moscow International Film Festival. She also received Fulbright grant as a visiting scholar in 2015. Anzhelika Artyukh is the author of books The History and Conception of New Hollywood (2015), Cinefeminism. Women-directors in 21 Century (2018). Her new book Women-directors in the contemporary world (2021) has recently got the Honorary Diploma of the Russian Guild of Film Critics and Film Researchers.
DRAGAN JOVIĆEVIĆ
FILM CRITIC, SERBIA
Dragan Jovićević is an independent journalist, writer, film critic and author. He holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in film and media theory from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, and a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. He has published several books on film: Rings and Grudges (2010), Lost Worlds of Serbian Fantastic Films (with Jovan Ristić, 2014), Nation, Genre (2021) published by the Film Center of Serbia, novel Last Drop (Admiral Books, 2016), numerous short stories, essays and scientific texts in the field of film and culture. He is the editor of the cultural section in the weekly NIN and a journalist with many years of experience. He is a collaborator of numerous film festivals (Serbian Fiction Film Festival, FEST, Beldocs...). He is the author of several screenplays, commercials, short and documentary films and videos. His projects have been presented at festivals in Trieste, Lisbon, La Rochelle (France), Lodz, Berlin, Sarajevo... He is the founder of the Grapple Association, which brings together artists from various fields to improve the position and visibility of marginalized social groups through audio-visual creativity. He is a member of the Serbian branch of FIPRESCI.
MATIC MAJCEN
FILM CRITIC, SLOVENIA
Matic Majcen (1980) is a film critic and cultural journalist at Večer, one of the major daily newspapers in Slovenia. He has been writing about film and working as a film critic since 2006. He obtained his PhD on post-independence Slovenian cinema at the University of Ljubljana in 2014. Since 2011, he has regularly visited Cannes, Venice, Berlin and other major film festivals. He is the author of two books: Slovenian Post-Independence Cinema: Institution and National Identity (2015) and Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey (2018). In 2020, he was the president of the jury at the Festival of Slovenian Cinema in Portorož.
