Peter Handke received the Nobel Prize for Literature in October 2019 in Stockholm. Having heard about it, Srdjan Petrović – a winemaker from the Serbian village of Velika Hoča in Kosovo decided to place a commemorative plaque with an embossed portrait of Handke in his wine shop, that the famous writer had visited on a number of occasions. But is the winemaker aware that Handke’s controversial attitude and opinions might prevent him from attending the plaque unveiling ceremony?

GORAN RADOVANOVIĆ
Born in Belgrade in 1957. Graduated art history from Belgrade’s Faculty of Philosophy. Between 1977 and 1980 he sojourned in Munich on a scholarship awarded by the Goethe Institute. Upon his return to Belgrade he wrote film critics, and since 1984 he has worked as writer and director of both feature and documentary films. He worked as guest professor at many universites, colleges and art schools. He was a guest professor at EICTV (International Film and Television School), San Antonio de los Banos, Cuba. He is a member of the European Film Academy. His documentary The Makavejev case or the process in the cinema (2019) was awarded the Belgrade Winner for the Best Bilm in the Serbian film selection at 47th FEST.
