Sami lives in Jerusalem with his wife and kid. An invitation to his brother’s wedding forces him to return to the Arabic village where he grew up. After the wedding, with no explanation, the village is put under lockdown by Israeli soldiers. Cut off from the outside world, trapped in an unexpected situation, Sami watches as everything falls apart.

ERAN KOLIRIN

Eran Kolirin was born in 1973. His feature film debut as a director, The Band’s Visit (2007) won him critical acclaim and over 50 prestigious awards around the globe, among them eight awards of the Israeli Film Academy, the Un Certain Regard Jury Award in Cannes and the European Film Academy Discovery Award. His second feature film, The Exchange (2011) was selected for the 68th Venice Film Festival Competition. His third film, Beyond the Mountains and Hills (2016), premiered at Cannes Un Certain Regard.
