MOTHERING SUNDAY

Jane works as a maid for the Nivens, an aging home counties couple who, like so many other families, lost their son on the battlefields of the First World War. Jane is having a secret affair with Paul, son of the Nivens’ neighbours. Paul is the only member of his peer group to return from the front, a status that has left him with a powerful dose of survivor’s guilt and a weighty sense of duty to his family…

EVA HASON / EVA HUSSON

Eva Husson was born and raised in France. She has an MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. Husson’s shorts made the round of international festivals. In 2015 she made her feature film Bang Gang (A Modern Love Story), which garnered a lot of international interest since its debut in competition at the Toronto Film Festival. In 2018, Eva was nominated for the Palme d’Or for her second feature film Girls of the Sun which premiered in Cannes. In 2021, Husson is back in Cannes again with Mothering Sunday
